Holiday Travel essentials
The holidays are a magical time, but they can also throw a wrench into your carefully crafted wellness routine. Between long flights or drives, endless family gatherings, and irregular schedules, staying balanced can feel like a challenge. In the journey of shifting your identity to a health-conscious, nourished, healed individual, it’s important not to have the mindset of “cheat days”. I believe this can be harmful and lead to the “rebound” effect of constantly taking 1 step forward and two steps back. Even on the days we may not be perfect, we can choose to show up for ourselves and it’s all about being prepared.
Here’s my curated list of holiday travel essentials to help you feel your best and keep your healing at the forefront:
1. Multivitamin: Fill the Gaps
With unpredictable meals and fewer fresh options, a high-quality multivitamin ensures you’re getting the nutrients your body craves. Think of it as a little insurance policy for your busy holiday schedule. While many of you take a daily multi already, you may double the dose on your travel days (take morning & evening).
Pro Tip: Pack your supplements in a small pill organizer or jar to take up less space.
2. Magnesium Citrate: Combat Travel Constipation
Holiday travel often means disrupted digestion (hello, airplane food and late-night snacks). Magnesium citrate is a game-changer for keeping things regular and preventing bloating, so you can feel lighter and more comfortable. Add 200-300 mg.
